Hi May I say what an interesting site you have. I wish more of the collectable 60's underground bands would do something as great.  I was wondering if the drummer Keith Giles is the same chap who drummed on a mega-rare 45 by a band called 'Him And The Others'. ?  Maybe you could find out for me!  Keep up the good work.    Maggies reply.    Yes Keith Giles was with 'Him And The Others' just before Fortes Mentum and not only is he a brilliant drummer, he is also a great singer!  Watch out soon for a page on the Fortes web site about another great band, 'Pussy' . Barry Clark was with them and as Danny Beckerman is not around to write about Pussy himself,  I am going to do a bit of research and do it for him!

Hi Maggie. I was thinking back to 2005 when a young man on the end of my phone asked 'is Frank Bennett there?'  It was Rod Creasys son. The news was sad as he explained that his father had just passed away. He spoke to Frank at some length and gave him the details of the funeral asking if he would be able to attend and that it would be special for his dad if he could.  After, Frank explained that the frock coat that l loved and was still wearing as l had done for many years, (well it didn't fit Frank anymore!) was the very one Rod had borrowed from him to wear on one of the bands many photo shoots.  Rods son had mentioned he had little knowledge of his dad or mementoes but mentioned he had a picture. In this picture his dad was wearing a black frock coat with the high collar. However, l prattle on, forgiveness, but you know what these musicians are like, time warp can sometimes be their only conversation.  On the day of Rods funeral as Frankie was about to leave l handed him the freshly cleaned and bagged frock coat as a surprise for Rods son, he wore it to his dads funeral how cool is that? One special moment when giving the  coat was everything and so very special. l really miss that jacket, but always feel better when l remember, filling the heart of a child mean's all to a mother even if it's not your own child.
